Sporting Success

Our pupils have been very active over past months and have competed in many different sporting competitions:-

Our swimmers took 2nd place in the Inter-School Swimming Gala

Our Senior Hockey team came a close 2nd in the Inter-Schools’ Hockey tournament, while our Junior team won their section.

Our Tag Rugby teams did very well  their recent tournament with our Senior team winning their section.

The recent Inter-Schools’ Soccer tournament was a great success. We entered two senior teams, a junior team, and for the first time ever, a girls team! Our senior teams did very well with one team winning; our junior team also won as did our girls after a very tense penalty shootout! Well done to all teams, coaches, reps and referees – it could not happen without you!

BizWorld

Fifth class recently participated in a BizWorld programme, sponsored by Bank of Ireland. This involved the pupils devising their own business ideas and presenting these in front of a ‘Dragon’. The pupils worked in groups and the winning idea was based on a travel bottle which could hold both food and a drink. Well done to Samuel, Jack, Leslie, Abby and Nathan who came up with the idea. Thank you to Aidan Walsh and Mick Healy of Bank of Ireland for their help with this project.
