We said goodbye to our pupils from Rang 6 on the last day of term and wished them well as they move on to the next phase in their education. All pupils received a certificate from Ms Guinane, class teacher, to mark the completion of their primary schooling.
A number of pupils also received awards:- Seán Coombes, Anton Frank, Ross Bailey and Isobel Swanton (Val Jago Award for best Science project); Lia Rya, Sheyla Whittaker, Peter Leonard and Maria Iazan (Val Jago Award runners-up); Emily Whitaker (Gradam Bhean Uí Chaoimh – Gaeilge); Kirsty McBride (Flack Trophy for Handwriting); Nicholas Greene (Coombes Shield for Sportsmanship); Claire Jermyn (Gradam Mháire Roycroft – pupil who has contributed most to school life); Seán Bateman (Squaddy of the Year); Isobel Kingston (Andrew Chambers Memorial Trophy – Most Promising Hockey Player); Isobel Swanton (8 Years Unbroken Attendance).
During the last week of school, the 6th class pupils enjoyed a pizza day, autograph signings and the many other activities which took place.
