Message from the Principal
Welcome to St. Luke’s School, Douglas. St. Luke’s is a co-educational primary school under Church of Ireland patronage. In St. Luke’s, we create a genuinely happy and safe environment where all pupils are valued as individuals. We have high expectations for our pupils’ academic achievement, behaviour and continually strive to enable every child to reach their full potential in every area.
Pupils are involved in choir, hockey, soccer, swimming, chess, athletics, tag rugby, drama and art as well as many other activities throughout the school year. They experience a sense of caring and belonging and are involved in all aspects of school life. They are expected to play an active part as Buddies, Squaddies, on school committees such as Green Schools and on Student Council.
We take pride in watching our pupils grow into mature and well-rounded individuals who are prepared to work hard to achieve their goals and who take an active part in society and in their communities. Many of our pupils return to update us on their progress and achievements.
