If I was a spider
If I was a spider
I would weave a silky web,
If I was a spider
I would live under the bed.
If I was a spider
I would climb up children’s necks.
If I was a spider
I would never need new specs.
If I could just imagine
Looking down from on the wall,
Looking down onto the whole
Wide world, and know I won’t fall.
But I am not a spider
And that makes me sad,
But at least I won’t get killed
